LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central general secretary Salman Akram Raja along with Shaukat Basra and other party leaders met PTI stalwart Shah Mehmood Qureshi at a hospital in Lahore on Sunday to inquire about his health.
The PTI leaders conveyed their good wishes to Shah Mahmood Qureshi and also prayed for his early recovery.
According to sources, during the meeting with Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the PTI leaders also discussed current political situation in the country and efforts for the release of the party’s founder, Imran Khan.
It is pertinent to mention here that several former PTI figures also met with Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday (October 31) at the hospital. Party insiders revealed that the old PTI leadership has agreed to launch a movement titled ‘Release Imran Khan’, aimed at securing the release of the party’s founder.
According to sources, prominent figures expected to be part of the campaign include Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Mahmood Moulvi, Sibtain Khan and others.
The former leadership reportedly made significant decisions regarding efforts for Imran Khan’s release, including initiating contact with the establishment and meeting senior leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).
