RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will clash today (Thursday) in second match of the tri-nation T20I series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The match will see Sri Lanka’s leadership under Dasun Shanaka, who will be looking to guide his team to a strong performance after his side suffered defeat in the One-Day series against Pakistan.
Despite the setback in the previous series, the Sri Lankan team is confident and eager to put up a good show in the triangular T20 tournament.
In the series opener, Pakistan began their campaign with a five-wicket victory over Zimbabwe as they chased the 148-run target with four balls to spare on Tuesday.
Player of the match Mohammad Nawaz’s all-round contributions (4-0-22-2, 21 not out off 12) coupled with a crucial 61-run fifth-wicket stand between Fakhar Zaman (44, 32b, 2x4s, 2x6s) and Usman Khan (37 not out, 28b, 3x4s) led Pakistan to their third T20I win in their last four fixtures.
