DUBAI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s star duo Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have made notable strides in the latest ICC ODI players’ rankings following their impressive performances in the series sweep against Sri Lanka.

Babar climbed to sixth place with 722 rating points, reaffirming his standing as one of the format’s premier batters. Rizwan enjoyed a strong rise, jumping five spots to 22nd after contributing significantly in all three matches.

Pakistan’s ODI batting chart saw further movement, with Fakhar Zaman advancing to 26th and Salman Ali Agha holding steady at 16th. However, Saim Ayub fell to 38th, while Imam-ul-Haq dropped to 54th with 516 points.

In the global race for the top spot, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell overtook India’s Rohit Sharma to become the number one ODI batter.

Sharma now sits second, Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran is ranked third, followed by Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli in fourth and fifth positions respectively.

Pakistan also celebrates success on the bowling front, where mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed entered the top 10 for the first time, reaching ninth position with 624 points. His rapid rise coincides with ranking movements for fellow bowlers. Haris Rauf climbed to 23rd, while Mohammad Wasim Jr soared 20 places to 64th. ODI skipper Shaheen Afridi slipped to 21st, and Naseem Shah dropped to 36th.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains the top ODI bowler, followed by England’s Jofra Archer and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj.
