ISLAMABAD – The government is committed to bringing Pakistan’s virtual assets framework up to global standards, Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb said during his first visit to the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA).

According to the Finance Ministry, Aurangzeb received a briefing from PVARA officials on the regulatory framework, phased policy implementation, governance structure, and draft guidelines.

He praised the authority’s performance and instructed immediate resolution of administrative issues.

Aurangzeb emphasized that transparent and secure regulation of virtual assets is a top government priority and that strong regulatory institutions are essential to attract investment.

The PVARA Chairman said the authority is committed to responsible innovation and strong security measures, adding that Pakistan’s representation in international virtual asset forums is steadily increasing.
