KARACHI (Dunya News) – The value of the US dollar slipped a notch in the interbank market on Thursday, giving a small breather to the rupee.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the dollar eased by one paisa against the local currency. By the close of the trading day, the fourth business day of the week, the greenback inched down from Rs280.66 to Rs280.65.

Market dealers said the slight dip shows the exchange rate is “holding its ground,” though no major shift has taken place.

They added that the market is “keeping an eye on” upcoming economic indicators and inflows that could set the tone for currency movement in the coming days.
