Record-breaking 2.8-mile long bread in Mexico
(Web Desk) - A university in Mexico beat the record by lining up 14,360 freshly made loaves of bread in a 2.8-mile-long queue.
2.8 miles of rosca de reyes bread, a customary bread cooked in honour of the Jan. 6 Three Kings’ Day holiday, were lined up by students and professors at Universidad Vizcaya Mexicali in Baja California.
The line beat the previous record for the longest line of breads, which was held by a 9,874-foot, 2.15-inch line of Rosca de Reyes bread in Tiziman, Mexico, in 2020. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on hand to verify this.
The institution reported that 440 volunteers put in more than 90 hours of preparation for the record attempt. As is customary for Rosca de Reyes bread, the finished line of bread had over 30,000 plastic dolls inside the loaves.
