BLA funded by India, targets innocent civilians, says Khawaja Asif
Pakistan
Khawaja Asif stated that terrorist groups are attempting to undermine Pakistan’s stability and development.
SIALKOT (Dunya News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Sunday that the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) receives funding from India and deliberately targets civilian areas, including poor labourers, women, and children.
Speaking to the media, Khawaja Asif stated that terrorist groups are attempting to undermine Pakistan’s stability and development, but security forces are determined to eliminate terrorism at all costs. He revealed that more than 100 terrorists have been neutralised over the past two days.
The defence minister said that statements given by arrested terrorists clearly point towards Indian involvement, adding that India is backing terrorist networks to destabilise Pakistan. He accused the BLA and BYC of spreading a false narrative regarding missing persons, claiming that most of those labelled as “missing” are members of banned terrorist organisations.
Khawaja Asif further alleged that terrorist groups are now exploiting women and even children for their activities, calling it a dangerous and deceptive tactic. He reiterated that Pakistan has entered a path of progress and development, which terrorists are trying to derail through violence and propaganda.
