MANAMA (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is ready to promote economic cooperation with the brotherly country, Bahrain.

Addressing the business community in Manama, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan and Bahrain share fraternal relations and that he is present today to further expand bilateral ties.

He said the purpose of visiting Bahrain is to strengthen these relations, which are based on culture, religion, mutual respect, and trust.

He added that the discussions between the two countries took place in a cordial environment and that Pakistanis in Bahrain are making remarkable contributions in all fields. The visit aims to further progress in economic sectors.

He emphasized that Pakistan is ready to enhance economic cooperation with Bahrain, highlighting potential collaboration in agriculture, IT, and other sectors. He said both countries can explore new avenues together with Bahrain’s business community and that the time has come to translate strong relations into economic partnership.

Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted Pakistan’s youth potential, noting that 60 percent of the population is aged between 15 and 30, and expressed the desire to equip young people with training in IT and AI.

He further said that Bahrain possesses global expertise and economic experience, which Pakistan seeks to learn from, and invited Bahraini investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the people and leadership of Bahrain for their warm reception.

Bahrain’s Finance Minister, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa, remarked that Pakistan and Bahrain share historical ties, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s visit renews these relations.
