LONDON (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday reached London on his official visit to the United Kingdom.

During the visit, he will meet his counterpart Angela Rayner, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Pakistan, Hamish Falconer, Lord Wajid Khan, and Commonwealth Secretary-General, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.

The visit aims at strengthening Pakistan-UK ties, boosting cooperation in digital technology, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship, and enhanced cooperation with the Commonwealth.

British MPs, Kashmiri leaders, and representatives of Pakistani diaspora will also hold meetings with Ishaq Dar during the visit.

At the Pakistan High Commission in London, the Deputy Prime Minister will inaugurate pilot project by Punjab Land Record Authority.

Dar to undertake official visit to UK from August 17

The project aims to assist members of the diaspora in resolving land documentation issues in Pakistan remotely.

Earlier, Ishaq Dar said that the government is mobilising all available resources to provide relief and conduct rescue operations in the flood affected areas.

In a post on his X handle, he said that the federal and provincial agencies, the armed forces and local administrations are working tirelessly to reach affected communities and ensure the safety of the citizens.

Ishaq Dar expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of life and destruction caused by the recent cloudbursts and flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the northern parts of Pakistan.
