ISLAMABD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on the Islamic Ideology Council (IIC) to play a pivotal role in protecting the youth from falling prey to propaganda.
He emphasised the need to guide society in light of the Quran and Sunnah.
Speaking at the Golden Jubilee ceremony of the IIC, the prime minister lauded the council for shaping the nation’s ideological identity and fulfilling its responsibility.
Highlighting the dangers of hate and division, he stressed that unity and collective efforts could turn dreams of progress into reality.
PM Shehbaz pointed out that technology had revolutionised the world. He said Islam offers the path of ijtihad to address modern challenges.
He credited the IIC for its achievements, including the establishments of Islamic banking, which has inspired non-Muslim countries to adopt interest-free system.
He also acknowledged the council’s efforts to curb extremism and urged scholars to strengthen the nation’s defence and development.
