QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Composite Circle Gwadar carried out a major operation and arrested 21 illegal migrants attempting to cross into Iran.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the individuals were taken into custody from the coastal area of Jiwani while trying to leave Pakistan for Iran via the sea route. Initial investigations revealed that the suspects planned to travel illegally to other countries through Iran.

Officials stated that the arrested individuals belonged to various districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Six were from Gujranwala, two each from Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, and Nankana Sahib, three from Nowshera, while the remaining six hailed from Toba Tek Singh, Sialkot, Bajaur, Chakwal, Gujrat, and Sheikhupura.

The FIA confirmed that a case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigation is underway.

The spokesperson added that a crackdown continues against those involved in human smuggling and illegal border crossings, with all available resources being utilized to apprehend the culprits.
