ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed new dates for the One-Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with both matches now set to take place on 14 and 16 November in Rawalpindi.

The announcement follows detailed security briefings and assurances given to the visiting team after recent safety concerns.

Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his gratitude to the Sri Lankan cricket team for choosing to continue their Pakistan tour. “Grateful to the Sri Lankan team for their decision to continue the Pakistan tour. The spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity shines bright,” he said in a statement on social media.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar also extended his thanks, saying, “My heartfelt gratitude to the Sri Lankan Cricket Team for their visit to Pakistan and for always supporting the game of cricket. Keep up the sportsman spirit. We are honoured by your presence.”

The ODI series in Rawalpindi will precede a tri-nation T20 series featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe. The PCB reaffirmed its commitment to providing full security for all international teams touring the country, underscoring Pakistan’s efforts to maintain its standing as a safe and welcoming destination for international cricket.
