CM Maryam launches Nigehban Ramadan Package for 4 million families in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced Rs40 billion Nigehban Ramadan Package to support 4 million families, raising aid to Rs10,000.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that the provincial government will support 4 million deserving families through the “Nigehban Ramadan Package.”
In a message posted on social media platform X, Maryam Nawaz stated that her top priority is to ensure that the blessings of Ramadan reach every household.
She said that under the Rs40 billion package, financial assistance for ration card holders has been increased from Rs3,000 to Rs10,000.

The Chief Minister added that every deserving and self-respecting family will receive full government support during the holy month. She also announced that “Nigehban Dastarkhwan” facilities have been arranged in every tehsil, providing daily iftar meals for millions of people.
Maryam Nawaz further said that essential goods will be available at discounted rates at Sahulat Bazaars.
She emphasized that biometric verification and modern banking systems will ensure transparent distribution so that no one is left behind in Ramadan celebrations.
