LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 24 terrorists in 364 intelligence-based operations across Punjab this week.

A CTD spokesperson said the operations targeted various cities, including Lahore, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Sargodha, Muzaffargarh, Sialkot, Rajanpur, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, and Attock.

During the operations, a key terrorists, indentified as Shakir who is associated with the extremist group "Fitnah al-Khawarij" was also arrested.

The spokesperson further revealed that explosive materials were recovered from the arrested terrorists, who had planned attacks at multiple locations to create fear and panic among the public.
