PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched the Insaf Female Education Card, a new initiative designed to support women’s higher education across the province.

Chief Minister Suhail Afridi said the programme aims to empower women through education, calling it a cornerstone of a strong, prosperous, and aware society.

According to the government, around 55,000 female students will benefit from free higher education under this scheme, which seeks to remove financial barriers and promote inclusivity in learning.

Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Afridi highlighted that providing women equal opportunities in all sectors remains a key priority for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. He stated that additional funds would be allocated in the upcoming budget to further strengthen educational opportunities for women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He noted that during the PTI administration, transparent and result-oriented measures were taken to improve the education sector, ensuring fair access and effective outcomes for students across the province.

Afridi described the Insaf Female Education Card as “a new symbol of hope, confidence, and dignity” for women, expressing the government’s commitment to transforming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a model province for promoting higher education among women.

The chief minister also announced free higher education for orphaned students who successfully pass the MDCAT test, reaffirming the provincial government’s dedication to equal educational access for all deserving students.
