ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry on Tuesday met with the Ambassador of Romania to discuss enhancing port collaboration, trade relations, and partnerships in the maritime sector.
During the meeting, the minister said that linking Karachi Port with Romania’s Constanța Port would significantly boost trade activities between the two countries.
He added that Pakistan is on track to become a nation with six operational ports, which will play a vital role in improving access to European markets.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in maritime training, security, and digital logistics.
The Romanian ambassador expressed keen interest in Pakistan’s sports and agricultural products. The two sides also discussed investment opportunities and new trade routes.
In conclusion, Pakistan and Romania reaffirmed their commitment to promoting economic, educational, and cultural cooperation.
