MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News): Political uncertainty persists in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as the proposed no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has yet to be presented in the Legislative Assembly.

According to sources, only four ministers from the coalition government have resigned, while three others have publicly announced their support for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). However, ministers from both the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have not yet formally withdrawn from the government.

The PPP claims to have a clear numerical majority to remove the Prime Minister, while the PML-N has already announced its support for the motion. Despite this, the no-confidence resolution has not been tabled, nor has there been consensus on a new leader of the House.

Sources say Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq has completed preparations to face the possible no-confidence move, while the PPP’s parliamentary party had decided on an in-house change nearly four weeks ago.

As AJK political turmoil escalates, all eyes are on the next expected leader of the House. Names under consideration include Chaudhry Yaseen, Latif Akbar, Faisal Rathore, and Sardar Yaqoob.

Political analysts suggest that the next 72 hours will be crucial, as consultations between the PPP and PML-N are intensifying over a new coalition formula. Significant developments are expected in AJK’s political landscape in the coming days.
