DSP among four policemen martyred in terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat

Terrorists attacked Police Station Lakki Marwat Saddar on late Wednesday night.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – At least four policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), were martyred and six other were wounded when terrorists attacked Police Station Lakki Marwat Saddar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa  on late Wednesday night, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, a portion of police station also collapsed in the bomb attack, burying several police officials under the debris. A police armored vehicle which was dispatched as reinforcement was also targeted by the terrorists.



Sources also confirmed that DSP Lakki Marwat Iqbal Mohmand was among the martyred police officials. Sources also informed that the terrorists manged to escape from the scene after exchange of fire with police.

Police and rescue teams have shifted the bodies of martyred and injured police officials to hospital.

The martyred police officials include DSP Iqbal Mohmand, Karamat, Waqar and Ali Marjan while injured officials were identified as Head Constable Farooq Shah, Constable Gultiaz, Constable Asghar, Constable Amanat, Constable Arif and Constable Sardar Ali.
