Pakistani spinners are also good batters

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Renowned Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle has professed that fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is more important than captain Babar Azam for Pakistan for ICC World Cup 2023.

Shedding light on his vote for Afridi, Harsha Bhogle said it was Afridi who took wickets in the opening 10 overs in the Asia Cup. If Shaheen could not take wickets, you could imagine what would have happened. He said absence of Naseem Shah was also a gap for Pakistan.

Harsha Bhogle said Pakistani spinners would have to perform better in the World Cup. Sharing his viewpoint on the Pakistan team performance, he said would the Pakistani openers perform a good game and would its spinners be able to bowl well in the middle overs?

The Indian commentator seems not certain about the performance of the Pakistan’s middle order batting and said although Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed and Saud Shakeel were good cricketers, could you trust them to win the title? "We are eagerly waiting to see, if the middle order batsmen do good for their team, it is very better for Pakistan."

He said three spinners in the Pakistan team, including Shadab Khan and Muhammad Nawaz, were good batters too.
