Pakistan raises petrol, diesel prices for August 21

Summary Pakistan has raised petrol and diesel prices, with new rates of Rs337.78 and Rs364.70 per litre effective August 21.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government has increased the prices of petroleum products, with the new rates taking effect for one day from August 21, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by 27 paisas per litre, while diesel has become Rs1.64 more expensive per litre.

Following the increase, petrol will cost Rs337.78 per litre, while diesel will be priced at Rs364.70 per litre.

The revised prices will remain applicable for one day, starting August 21, 2026.

The Petroleum Ministry determines petroleum prices on a daily basis under the government's mechanism for adjusting petroleum product rates.
