Summary Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has called for effective implementation of GSP Plus commitments and stronger coordination to boost Pakistan’s trade and exports, especially with the EU.
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting to review efforts aimed at expanding Pakistan’s trade and economic relations with friendly countries, particularly the European Union.
The meeting discussed ways to accelerate trade and economic partnerships, improve market access, enhance export performance and strengthen coordination among relevant stakeholders.
Dar stressed the need for effective implementation of Pakistan’s commitments and conventions under the GSP Plus framework.
He directed the concerned authorities to give priority to measures aimed at increasing Pakistan’s trade and improving export performance.
The deputy prime minister also called for timely implementation of agreed measures and stronger coordination among relevant departments to achieve the government’s trade and economic objectives.
