Gold prices stayed unchanged in global and Pakistani markets, with 24k gold holding steady. Silver prices dropped by Rs107 per tola and Rs91 per 10 grams.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Gold prices remained unchanged in both international and local markets on Friday, as the global bullion rate stayed put at $4,042 per ounce. The stability in the world market kept domestic prices from moving an inch.
According to local jewellers, the price of 24-karat gold stood firm at Rs426,562 per tola, showing no change from the previous day. Likewise, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also stayed steady at Rs365,708.
However, silver prices went the other way.
The per-tola price of silver dropped by Rs107, settling at Rs5,222.
The rate for 10 grams also slipped by Rs91 and came down to Rs4,477.
Market experts say gold prices are holding their ground due to a lack of major global triggers, while silver has come under pressure as demand has cooled off.
