PM Shehbaz says industrial growth key to jobs and economic progress

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that the country cannot achieve economic development, job creation, or higher income without strong industrial growth.

He added that ensuring ease of doing business and boosting investment remains the government’s top priority.

He was chairing the first review meeting of the private-sector committee established for national industrial development. The committee presented its recommendations to the Prime Minister, who welcomed them.

The premier emphasised that suggestions from the private sector hold crucial importance for industrial progress. He praised the business community for preparing detailed proposals through hard work and noted that these recommendations would be carefully reviewed to create an implementation plan.

He acknowledged the Pakistani business community’s support during challenging times, saying they had helped the government navigate economic crises. The PM stated that, with the grace of Allah, the country’s economic direction is improving and Pakistan is on the path to development, but more effort is still required.
