NEW DELHI – Delhi minister Atishi will take over as the new chief minister of India's national capital territory after the resignation of incumbent Arvind Kejriwal, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party said on Tuesday.

Kejriwal had on Sunday announced resignation as Delhi Chief Minister in two days after the party selects a new chief minister.

Kejriwal announced his resignation in his address to workers at the party headquarter in the capital New Delhi.
