Russia says no positive response from US on 'main' security question

MOSCOW (AFP) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday that the US response to Moscow’s security demands over Ukraine had not addressed its main concern, but it would be possible to move forward.

"There was no positive response to the main question" of Moscow’s request for a ban on Ukraine joining NATO, Lavrov said in a statement, but "there is a response which gives hope for the start of a serious conversation on secondary questions."
