(Web Desk) - The Government has issued directives to the Ministry of IT and Telecom and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) to expedite the digitization of procurement processes

This initiative aims to streamline operations and enhance transparency in Government functions.

These measures are expected to significantly improve efficiency across government agencies, utilizing the cloud services procurement framework for all future procurements,

MD PPRA has been tasked with promptly finalizing the approval process for this system and ensuring its implementation nationwide.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to advance the auction of 5g spectrum licenses. The Law Division has been instructed to expedite the resolution of pending cases related to 5g in Islamabad and Sindh High Courts, aimed at removing regulatory hurdles for the timely introduction of 5G Technology in Pakistan.

In a further boost to the it sector, the Ministry Of Planning, Development And Special Affairs has allocated Rs 235 million to the Pakistan startup fund.

Additionally, Rs 229 million has been earmarked for the E-Rozgar Program, emphasizing digital skills development and youth entrepreneurship.

These initiatives mark significant strides under the SIFC platform, underscoring collaborative efforts to address longstanding issues and promote governance transparency within Pakistan’s evolving IT and Telecom Sectors.
