ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Senate session will be held today (Tuesday), at the Parliament House here at 11:30am. According to sources, the Senate secretariat has issued a 54-point agenda for today’s session.

According to the agenda, a motion will be presented in the session seeking a 60-day extension to submit the committee report on serious irregularities in the Korangi Fish Harbour Authority. A bill for the establishment of Al-Biruni International University in Islamabad will also be introduced.

Similarly, a bill for the establishment of Danish University Islamabad will be presented in the House for approval. Amendment bills to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Act and proposed amendments to Articles 62, 153, and 228 of the Constitution of Pakistan, along with committee reports, are also part of the agenda.

Amendment bills to the Family Courts Act, 1964 and the NADRA Ordinance, 2000 are also part of agenda. Committee report on the dilapidated road from the motorway to the Lowari Tunnel, a progress report on the construction of Arandu and Garam Chashma roads in Chitral, and committee reports on the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for fiscal year 2026-27 will also be presented in the House.

A call-attention notice regarding administrative difficulties faced by the national hockey team in Australia, the issue of obstacles in visa issuance to Pakistanis by the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, and amendment bills to the Civil Servants Act and the Service Tribunals Act are also included in the agenda.

Amendment bills to the Imports and Exports Control Act, a motion for debate on the Rs3.2 trillion circular debt in the gas sector, discussion on Pakistan’s ranking of 222 out of 226 in the Global Investment Risk Index, and motions for debate on the proportion of reserved seats for minorities will also be presented in the House.

It is noteworthy that amendments to the Senate Rules, including a proposal to carry forward unanswered questions to the next day, are also included in the agenda.
