PM Shehbaz lands in US to attend Board of Peace meeting

WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif arrived in the United States on Thursday to attend the Board of Peace meeting on Gaza.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will also attend the meeting along with the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is also expected to meet with the US leadership and world leaders on the sidelines of the meeting.
Shahbaz Sharif will stay in the US until February 20. It should be noted that the Gaza Peace Board meeting will be held in the United States on Thursday (today).
A White House spokesperson said that President Trump will host the Peace Board meeting. The White House spokesperson further said that pledges of more than $5 billion in aid are expected to be announced by the board's member countries at the meeting. More than 20 countries will participate in the important meeting of the Board of Peace.
In this regard, US President Donald Trump also said that the reconstruction of Gaza will be considered at the Gaza Peace Board meeting.
