Punjab Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar is likely to be replaced, with multiple senior officers under consideration, while he may be appointed as FIA director general at the federal level.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Inspector General Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar is likely to be replaced, according to sources in the provincial government.
The sources said several names are under consideration for the post of Punjab IG, including CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department Waseem Sial, and Rao Abdul Karim. He is expected to receive the next posting at the federal level.
Federal government sources further said that Dr Usman Anwar is likely to be posted as Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General following his transfer from Punjab.
