LAHORE (Dunya News) – The concerned authorities have granted permission to bring kite-flying items into Lahore from other districts, Dunya News reported on Friday.
The facility to bring kite-flying items from other districts will be available only to registered traders. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore has issued orders to maintain a balance between supply and demand. Traders bringing goods from outside Lahore will be required to obtain an online transportation permit through the e-Biz portal.
In Lahore, business activities and storage of kite-flying items will be allowed only at commercial locations approved by the Deputy Commissioner. Important decisions have also been taken regarding a possible increase in prices of kite-flying items during Basant and to prevent illegal transportation.
A zero-tolerance policy will be enforced against prohibited items, metallic kite strings, and the use of hazardous chemicals. Kites bearing religious, political, or controversial images will not be allowed.
