ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar Than Swe has arrived in Islamabad on a four-day official visit.

He was received at the airport by the Director General East Asia Pacific Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials from the Myanmar Embassy.

This visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Touhid Hossain, during which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation.

According to the Foreign Office, the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, trade, and economic cooperation.

They agreed to further strengthen collaboration in various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries.

During the telephonic contact, Ishaq Dar and Touhid Hossain also exchanged views on regional and international developments, underscoring the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing shared challenges.

Both leaders expressed their resolve to work together for regional peace, stability, and prosperity, and agreed to continue close engagement on issues of common interest.
