KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police have arrested a serial rapist involved in the abuse of over 100 children during a raid in the Tipu Sultan area.

The raid was conducted by a team of the Karachi’s East Investigation Wing after some victims identified the suspects named Imran and Waqas Khan.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Usman Sadozai said seven complaints were filed with the police between 2020 and 2025, all of which contained the same DNA evidence, leading to the shocking discovery.

The victims were between 12 to 13 years old, with one case involving multiple perpetrators.

On January 6, Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan formed a special team to investigate the matter, resulting in the suspects' arrest. The police will present the suspects in court to obtain remand for further investigation.

SP Sadozai confirmed that DNA tests were conducted promptly in each case, and actions were taken based on the evidence.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah praised the police for their swift action, calling the arrest a major achievement.

The chief minister emphasized that child abuse would not be tolerated and ordered the police to locate any remaining victims to ensure justice for all. He also instructed Additional IG Karachi to bring the case to court and report daily progress.
