KARACHI (Dunya News) – Six months after a major jailbreak at Malir Jail, the whereabouts of 37 escaped prisoners remain unknown, with authorities yet to trace them.

Among the fugitives are individuals involved in serious crimes, including murder, attempted murder, and armed robberies. Their continued evasion of arrest is being described as a major failure of the Sindh Police.

Two of the escaped prisoners, Ali Shah alias Shahid and Milhar, were incarcerated in murder cases. Meanwhile, eight of the fugitives were facing charges related to robbery, attempted murder, and encounters with police.

Out of the total 224 prisoners who escaped, 187 have been rearrested so far. However, police have been unable to locate the remaining 37 inmates.
