ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A major development has emerged regarding the implementation of a digital financial system in the Supreme Court.

Accountant General Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) Kamran Rashid briefed Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi on digital financial reforms within the judicial system.

According to an official statement, the implementation of an online billing solution for the Supreme Court has begun and will soon become operational. The system will eliminate reliance on manual bills and cheques. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi appreciated AGPR’s initiative.

AGPR also informed the Chief Justice about key government measures taken to digitise the payment system, to which Justice Yahya Afridi assured full institutional support. The Chief Justice stated that improving the financial system of the Supreme Court is among his top priorities, adding that with the approval of provincial chief justices, the system will be extended to high courts as well. He emphasised that introducing a digital system is an urgent need of the time.
