ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Ex-servicemen have condemned PTI’s alleged negative propaganda against Pakistan Army and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

They said the party was playing in the hands of the enemies of the country and involved in facilitating terrorists.

Office-bearers of Ex-Servicemen Society in a press conference here on Sunday alleged that the PTI was playing in the hands of India and terrorists; it has become a facilitator of terrorists and should be banned.

The said PTI founder was involved May 9 incidents and should be punished. They were of the view that those doing propaganda against Pakistan sitting abroad should be brought back, adding the Field Marshal is the protector of Pakistan.

Earlier, lawmakers from across Pakistan’s political spectrum intensified criticism of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday, accusing the party of steering a destabilising narrative against state institutions following the military spokesperson’s recent press conference.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) chief had warned that Imran Khan’s rhetoric had crossed into a “national security threat” and described the PTI founder as a “mental patient” for his persistent attacks on the army leadership. PTI rejected the remarks as “inappropriate and unfortunate”, prompting a strong political backlash.
