KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Inspector General of Sindh Police has ordered a strict crackdown on vehicles running without number plates across the province.

Drivers operating vehicles without a valid driving licence will also face strict action.

Under the IGP’s instructions, all Rangers and district authorities are required to submit daily reports on the enforcement actions. The aim is to immediately identify non-compliant vehicles and take action according to the Motor Vehicle Ordinance and other relevant laws.

The provincial police chief directed authorities to launch a comprehensive crackdown throughout Sindh and submit reports to the IGP office by 10:00am each day.

Police have been instructed to take firm measures against vehicles violating the law, including confiscation, FIR registration, and action under Section 550 of the Motor Vehicle Ordinance.

Officials have been told that this matter is of “utmost importance,” and immediate implementation is expected. The move comes as part of efforts to ensure road safety and uphold traffic regulations across the province.
