Sindh private schools directed to relax uniform code

The Directorate of Private Institutions has issued a circular to private schools across the province, instructing them to allow students to wear warm clothing of their choice during the winter.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Private schools in Sindh have been directed to relax uniform code and allow students to wear jackets of any specific colour or design in view of the harsh winter season, Dunya News reported on Friday.
On the instructions of Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah, the Directorate of Private Institutions has issued a circular to private schools across the province, instructing them to allow students to wear warm clothing of their choice during the winter.
Additional Director of Private Institutions Sindh, Rafia Javed, has clearly stated that children may wear warm clothes and jackets of their choice during winter. School administrations will not force students to wear a specific type of winter uniform. Action will be taken against schools that violate this directive.
Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah said that children’s health in winter is a priority. Forcing students to wear specific warm jackets is not allowed. Children may wear warm jackets of any color or design.
