RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the outgoing Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, emphasised the importance of unity and a joint strategy, saying world is changing at an unprecedented pace.
During his farewell address at Joint Staff Headquarters, General Sahir noted that the world is changing at an unprecedented pace, and these changes are having profound effects on both internal and external challenges faced by the country.
He highlighted that these effects range from hybrid warfare to full-scale conflicts, which require the armed forces to be better coordinated, with a unified purpose and strategy.
He added that this is not a matter of choice, but an organizational necessity to deal with the changing security landscape.
The outgoing CJCSC further stressed the need for a fully empowered and capable military system, keeping in view of future warfare scenarios. He emphasized that the armed forces must be prepared with integrated strategies to effectively respond to evolving threats.
General Mirza concluded by extending his best wishes to the military and particularly to the Joint Staff Headquarters, urging them to fulfill their duties with integrity and resolve in the face of new responsibilities.
