LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has emphasized that promoting tolerance and mutual understanding among people is the need of the hour, especially in times marked by increasing extremism and violent conflicts.
In her message on the International Day for Tolerance, the chief minister said that the value of patience and acceptance has become more critical than ever. She noted that hatred, intolerance, and discord can only be countered through love, harmony, and unity.
Maryam Nawaz urged citizens to pledge to make the world a better place by embracing tolerance and choosing the path of patience. “The world is already entangled in numerous challenges due to rising intolerance,” she stated, adding that peaceful coexistence is essential for a stable society.
She highlighted that the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) serves as the perfect example of tolerance and forbearance. “The Prophet (PBUH) demonstrated compassion even towards his enemies.
