Punjab government launches CM IT Internship Programme offering five-month paid internships to IT graduates, aiming to boost employability, innovation, and make Punjab a tech-driven economic hub.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab government has officially launched the Chief Minister IT Internship Programme to provide hands-on training and financial support to IT and computer science graduates.

Under the initiative, graduates will receive a five-month internship along with a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000. The programme will place interns in leading software houses to equip them with market-relevant skills and exposure to modern technology. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals and experts.

Eligible applicants – Punjab residents who have completed a four-year IT or computer science degree – can apply online at cmitinterns.punjab.gov.pk.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the provincial government aims to transform Punjab into the hub of information technology. She described the Nawaz Sharif IT City as a game-changing project that will open new avenues of economic growth in the province.
