Heavy rain floods low-lying areas in Hyderabad, schools shut down

Hyderabad’s city recorded 85 millimeters of rainfall in the past 24 hours
HYDERABAD (Dunya News) - Torrential overnight rain submerged major roads and low-lying areas in Hyderabad, disrupting daily life and prompting authorities to announce the closure of public and private educational institutions across several Sindh cities today (Tuesday).
Areas including Thandi Sarak, Pathan Colony, Liaquat Colony, Latifabad, Qasimabad, and Citizen Colony were heavily waterlogged.

According to the Meteorological Department, Hyderabad’s city recorded 85 millimeters of rainfall in the past 24 hours, while more light to heavy showers are expected today.
Meanwhile, the Met Office has issued an urban flooding alert for Karachi, forecasting 4 to 6 spells of heavy rainfall, with some areas expected to receive more than 100 millimeters.
