PASRUR (Dunya News) - PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has said there should be no politics on flood; the government should announce flood relief package at the earliest and form a National Action Plan on deluges in Punjab.

The PTI chairman said this while visiting flood affected areas of Pasrur here on Monday.

Talking to Dunya News, Barrister Gohar said that the government should announce an immediate relief package, demanding a national action plan on floods, besides taking practical steps to deal with the natural disaster and providing relief to the victims.

Barrister Gohar added that there should be no politics on floods, and the affected people should be served, urging all parties to unite for helping the victims.

He said 4.2 million people and 4,300 villages were affected, and crops were destroyed by the floods.

“It is a great tragedy. A test from Allah. The Punjab government should help all the victims, including the injured. People of Karachi helped Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we all have to be united, just as a National Action Plan was made against terrorism, the same should be made against to deal with floods. The Punjab government should not create division among the people,” the PTI leader said.
