PML-N leader vows commitment to party, national stability pact
LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab president, Rana Sanaullah, has officially submitted his nomination papers for the general Senate seat from Punjab at the Election Commission office.
He was accompanied by senior party leader Saif ul Malook Khokhar, Deputy Attorney General Sonia Jadoon, and other legal representatives. The nomination papers were submitted to the Returning Officer.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Rana Sanaullah said it was an honor to receive the trust of party leader Nawaz Sharif. He reaffirmed his commitment to actively contributing to the party and the country’s development, as tradition dictates.

He emphasized that under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, PML-N is ready to uphold the Charter of Stability—an initiative Nawaz Sharif also endorsed upon his return to Pakistan. Rana Sanaullah highlighted that the essence of his 40-year political journey is the realization that national progress requires collective efforts and political dialogue.
He criticized those unwilling to engage in constructive dialogue and warned against the culture of denial and hatred, adding that accountability must be based on law, not political vendettas.
Rana Sanaullah stressed that PML-N was the architect of Pakistan’s nuclear status and remains a guarantor of national stability. He clarified that recent disqualifications, including that of Ejaz Chaudhry—which led to the vacancy of the Senate seat—were based on criminal convictions, not politics.
He concluded by saying that the events of May 9 are judicially documented and cannot be denied.
Responsibility must be accepted, and not all members of any group should be judged by the actions of a few. Whatever role the party assigns, he will fulfill it with full dedication.
