LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has emphasized the need to strictly adhere to deadlines and maintain high construction standards in all ongoing and upcoming development projects across the province.

Chairing a special meeting, the chief minister reviewed progress on several key initiatives, including clean drinking water supply, water filtration plants, and the Model Village Project. The meeting also reviewed the Lahore Development Project and development schemes across the province.

CM Maryam was briefed on the Model Village Project and examined proposals to install water pumps in remote areas. She set a deadline of June 30, 2026, for the completion of water filtration plants, directing officials to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Expressing dissatisfaction over delays in certain projects, the chief minister instructed departments to expedite road construction and repair works under the Lahore Development Project.

She also reviewed beautification projects planned for all major cities of Punjab.

As per the plan, a total of 550 beautification projects will be executed in various divisions including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Gujrat and Sahiwal.

Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her government’s commitment to resolving public complaints about drinking water shortages.

She announced the development of a systematic approach for the construction, repair, and maintenance of water filtration plants, and reiterated that all projects must be delivered on time and without compromising quality.
