Pakistan, Iran sign 13 MoUs to boost bilateral cooperation

Pakistan and Iran exchanged separate agreements in the fields of science and technology
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A total of 13 agreements and Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) were signed between Pakistan and Iran during Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's visit to Pakistan.
A special signing and document exchange ceremony was held at the Prime Minister’s House, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, members of the cabinet, and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian along with his delegation.
Pakistan and Iran exchanged separate agreements in the fields of science and technology, and information technology.

Agreements were also signed for cooperation in tourism, culture, and heritage, as well as in meteorology, climate change, and disaster management.
MoUs were signed for cooperation in maritime safety and firefighting, judicial assistance, and legal reforms. A sub-MoU under the 2013 Air Safety Agreement was also exchanged.
Additionally, MoUs were signed for implementing product standards, and enhancing tourism and cultural cooperation. Both countries also agreed to prepare a joint statement for the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement.
