In retaliation, Pakistan’s armed forces initiated a comprehensive counteroffensive “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos” on May 10, striking multiple Indian military installations across various regions.
During the confrontation, Pakistan reportedly shot down six Indian fighter jets—including three Rafales—and destroyed dozens of drones. After nearly 87 hours of intense conflict, a ceasefire was reached on May 10 through mediation by the United States.
