ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The nation observed ‘Youm-e-Tashakur’ (Day of Gratitude) on Sunday across the country to celebrate the remarkable success of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.

Large crowds took to the streets in cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta, waving flags and expressing solidarity with the armed forces. The participants chanted “Long live Pakistan Army” from Karachi to Kashmir.

In addition, "Long Live Pakistan" rallies were held in Kandhkot, Kashmore, Faisalabad, Jhang, Gujranwala, Renala Khurd, Chiniot, Vehari, and Kasur. People in large numbers gathered in Swat, Mohmand, Nowshera, and Qila Bala Hissar in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to honour the armed forces. The participants also distributed sweets to celebrate armed forces’ victory against Indian forces.

A rally was also held in Muzaffarabad by Jamaat-e-Islami, where participants chanted slogan “Kashmir will become Pakistan.”

The rallies were held on the call given by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to celebrate the success of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.

Earlier, Pakistan had launched Operation 'Bunyan-un-Marsoos' (Iron Wall) in response to Indian aggression and destroyed many military installations of the enemy.

Pakistan had destroyed Indian Brahmos missile depot in Beas, Pathankot airfield, and Adampur airbase.

Hypersonic missile fired by Pakistani jet JF 17 Thunder destroyed Indian S400 air defence system in Udhampur. The system costs $1.5 billion. This is a great loss of India.

Later in the day, United States President Donald Trump said that Pakistan and India had agreed on a ceasefire "after a long night of talks mediated by the United States".

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Trump announced that "After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that Pakistan and India have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire."
