ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former prime minister Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, has approached the Islamabad High Court for an urgent hearing on her sentence suspension request in the £190 million case.

Bushra Bibi stated in her petition that the hearing was initially scheduled for March 25, but due to her lead counsel’s engagement in Supreme Court in a murder case, it was postponed. The court’s short cause list led to further delays, pushing the case beyond Eid.

She emphasised that as a 54-year-old housewife, her sentence suspension request should be heard before Eid along with the main appeal.

The petition listed the federal government and the NAB chairman as respondents.
