WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Foreign Affairs, Tariq Fatemi, held meetings with key members of the US Congress.

Fatemi met with House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on South and Central Asia Sydney Kamlager-Dove, and Co-Chairs of the Pakistan Caucus Jack Bergman and Tom Suozzi.

The discussions focused on Pak-US relations, bilateral cooperation, and economic ties. Fatemi briefed the US lawmakers on Pakistan’s government policies, particularly its economic priorities, emphasising Pakistan’s desire to expand ties with the US, especially in trade and investment.

Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international matters, expressing optimism about strengthening bilateral relations.
