Talal Chaudhry reiterates govt's resolve to defeat terrorism

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has expressed government’s unwavering commitment to implement the National Action Plan in letter and spirit to eradicate terrorism from the country.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday, he ruled out any negotiations with the armed groups who have taken up arms against the state.
The minister said the armed forces, with nation’s support, are committed to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
He also highlighted that 180 intelligence-based operations are being conducted on daily basis against the terrorists.
The PML-N leader also grilled the PTI for spreading terrorism during its tenure.

He said that terrorism is once again on the rise as PTI brought terrorists in the country and settled them.
He also clarified that no discussion to launch a new operation took place in the National Security Committee meeting.
The minister criticized PTI for not participating in the National Security Committee meeting.
He remarked that the PTI founder, during his tenure, refused to sit with the opposition in security meetings.
He stated that due to their policies, the country is now facing tragic losses, and that the suggestion of a new operation is a tactic for political point-scoring.
